Meaningful therapy begins with genuine connection.

Smiling woman with glasses in business attire.

Hi, I’m Andrea.

I believe therapy works best when you feel safe enough to be honest, curious enough to explore, and supported enough to look at the parts of your life that may be difficult to understand or change. My role is to meet you with warmth, compassion, curiosity, and honesty while helping you deepen your understanding of yourself and create meaningful, lasting change.

What you can expect from me

I’m an engaged therapist. I won’t simply sit back and leave you wondering what I’m thinking. I’ll listen closely, ask thoughtful questions, offer reflections, and help you notice connections that may be difficult to see on your own.

I believe compassion and honesty can exist together. There are times when you may need space to feel, process, and simply be understood—and there are times when growth may involve gently challenging a familiar belief, pattern, or way of responding.

Therapy with me is collaborative. I bring my clinical knowledge, perspective, and curiosity to the work, while recognizing that you are the expert on your own experience. We’ll work together to understand what is happening beneath the surface and help you move toward the life and relationships you want to create.

How I approach therapy

I believe meaningful change begins with understanding ourselves more deeply—not just intellectually, but emotionally and through the ways we experience and respond to the world around us.

Often, the patterns we struggle with today developed for understandable reasons. They may have helped us feel safe, connected, accepted, or protected during earlier experiences. Rather than viewing these patterns as something wrong with us, I believe we can approach them with curiosity and compassion, recognizing that what once helped us navigate life may no longer serve who we are becoming.

My work is guided by the belief that insight is important, but awareness alone doesn't always create change. Healing also involves learning to recognize our responses as they arise, developing a different relationship with our emotions, and gradually creating space for new choices.

I don't believe therapy is about fixing who you are. It's about understanding yourself with greater compassion, reconnecting with your own wisdom, and developing the freedom to live and relate in ways that feel more authentic and aligned with the person you want to be.

My intention is to help you move beyond simply understanding your patterns toward experiencing meaningful change in how you relate to yourself, others, and your life.

My Philosophy of Healing

I believe healing asks us to be willing to be with the pain of our experiences—not to become consumed by it, but to listen to what it may be trying to show us. Our emotions can lead us toward deeper insight and truth when we learn how to meet them rather than avoid, judge, or fear them. At the same time, healing requires compassion.

We cannot heal in a hostile environment—including the one we create within ourselves. When our inner world is dominated by criticism, shame, judgment, or the belief that we should somehow be different than we are, we can reinforce the very wounds we are trying to heal.

Self-compassion creates a different internal environment. It allows us to approach our pain with curiosity rather than judgment and to understand the emotions, beliefs, and protective patterns that developed through our experiences. Compassion does not mean avoiding responsibility or excusing the patterns that are no longer serving us. It means creating enough safety within ourselves to see those patterns clearly and begin choosing something different.

We don’t always get to choose what happens to us, and we are not to blame for the experiences that have hurt us. But we do have a choice in how we move forward. There is power in taking responsibility for our healing—for tending to our emotions, examining our beliefs, recognizing our patterns, and making choices that support the life we want to create. Not as blame, but as agency.

I don’t believe we are defined by what has happened to us. We are continually shaped by what we come to understand, what we choose to heal, and what we create from the experiences we have had. Even the challenges we encounter can become opportunities—not because painful experiences are inherently good or necessary, but because they can reveal where something within us needs our attention. When approached with awareness and compassion, those places can point us toward greater strength, wisdom, skill, authenticity, and growth.

I believe we are all capable of healing. And I believe healing happens when compassion and responsibility meet—when we can understand ourselves without judgment while also recognizing our power to choose what comes next.
